PWC proudly stood in solidarity with healthcare workers during the recent UNAC/UHCP labor strike led by Kaiser Permanente nurses and healthcare professionals. PWC organizers joined workers on the picket line, demonstrating collective support for fair wages, improved health and safety protections, and stronger systems that uplift both workers and patients.
By showing up in solidarity, PWC reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the dignity of workers and advocating for equitable workplace standards across the healthcare industry.
In addition to joining the strike, PWC amplified workers’ voices by featuring Mahalia Marana-Gagajena, a registered nurse and UNAC/UHCP member, at its monthly town hall. The Kaiser Permanente nurse, who has dedicated 27 years of service and continues her work, shared her firsthand experiences and spoke candidly about the reasons behind the five-week strike. She highlighted the urgent need for safe staffing, fair contracts, and sustainable workplace conditions that ensure quality patient care.
Through action and storytelling, PWC continues to stand with healthcare workers fighting for justice, dignity, and systemic change.
