Join PWC and our allies throughout SoCal to DEMAND U.S. Customs Border Protection to restore the visas for who have been unjustly deported and stop these wrongful deportations now!

WHAT IS HAPPENING:

As an escalation of past unlawful practices by CBP, the largest contingent of Filipino seafarers detained without just cause were deported from California mere weeks ago.

For over a year now, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has authorized CBP to conduct unjust deportations of valid C1/D visa-holding Filipino seafarers.  These crewmen - who had been background-checked by several institutions and businesses prior to boarding their assigned vessels - are being falsely accused of crimes related to child pornography without any evidence nor charges or convictions.  Despite this lack of proof by CBP agents, these seafarers have had their visas cancelled and are ordered to be immediately deported back to the Philippines.

During this whole process of detainment and deportation, these seafarers were not allowed to contact nor access legal representation.  Amidst these confusing and baseless interrogations by CBP, these crewmen are now subject to 10 year bans from the United States, meaning they can no longer work on any cruise ships that may dock in the U.S.  These removals result in sudden job loss, long-term visa bans, and severe financial and emotional distress for these crewmen and the families they support.

With these most recent mass deportations taking place at the Port of San Diego, PWC and our allies are demanding the restoration of over 200 visas revoked in this manner and an end to this injustice against these crewmen!
