California is one of the largest economies in the world; a victory for domestic workers in California will be a huge boost to winning rights for domestic workers throughout the country and the world. If you live in California, please contact your state senator and ask them to support AB 889, the California Domestic Worker Bill of Rights. If you live outside of California, please contact the leadership of the state senate.

The CA Domestic Workers Bill of Rights is currently on appropriations committee suspense file meaning that it is at risk of dying. Take action NOW. California can level the playing field by enacting the Domestic Worker Bill of Rights which will eliminate discriminatory provisions in the labor code and grant domestic workers basic rights that other California workers have. Food Distribution
Pilipino Workers Center (PWC) along with Association of Filipino Workers (AFW) and Los Angeles Workers in Action (LAWIA) provides a Community Food Pantry every Friday Saturday. PWC is an official partner with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and the USDA.
Please arrive by 7:30pm on Friday or by 2:15pm on Saturday. We are strict about these times.
Jeepney Tour
The Pilipino Workers Center'sJeepney is an original 1944 Willy's Jeepney by the Sarao Company in the Philippines. It was brought to Washington State in the 1970's by a couple who rode it around the neighborhood. Now it is here in Historic Filipinotown, Los Angeles at PWC! It now gives Historic Filipinotown Mobile Tours in conjunction with PWC's youth media program, PDUB PRODUCTIONS.
